Mr. 3 or the Unicorn?

Which pinata do you want to use at your birthday party?
"Wait, let me decide.......Mr. 3 or the Unicorn..... the Unicorn. Shaela doesn't want to strike either as they are quite anthropormorphosized. Mr. 3 is what we called her 3rd birthday pinata in the shape of #3. She loves Mr. 3. We take him out from time to time and play with him.

The week from hell just passed.
We are planning our biggest vacation going to Disneyland and then Greece with my brother and his family. We are about to leave next week and we are dealing with insulation being removed from our entire ceiling and being redone, perhaps having to knock down or cut up parts of our roofing, from faulty building. Justin and I are trying to remain calm and not so depressed. Justin's Dad and Bev come to visit us and have a great time over the weekend, but then leave. Shaela hates leaving Bev. The first time she ever slapped me in the face is when we left them after a trip to Tucson when she was nonverbal. This time she is "sad." She is unconsolable, stating "I'm sad" nonstop and naming reasons like, "its not Mamma's turn" to put her to bed. Then last week, Justin gets into a fender bender that requires us to get our whole back of our relatively new Honda Pilot fixed. Another headache, but we are dealing. Two days later, my left molar cracks off- dentist visits before the trip! Yikes need a new crown. That same day, I almost choke on some supplements and have Shaela run out and get Daddy for help. Shaela is really afraid. Just setting the scene for what happens next.

Midweek, Shaela's teacher tells me that she is getting complaints from parents about Shaela taking kids food at lunch, and threatening them as well. She also kicked a friend under the table and created nine bruises on the poor girl. She told the new teachers that she doesn't like them and that she doesn't have to listen to them.
They kick her out of the big room with her age peers and place her in the toddler house to have more control over the situation. Shaela has been saying everyday that she does not want to go to school. We get serious about no sugar, no TV, no attitude, go to bed after dinner. She dislikes being in the toddler house but the last two days there, she has improved and today she apologized to her friends. She is one to say "I forgive you" way before she says "I'm sorry." So we are working on that. All this before her birthday party tomorrow!!

My heart goes out to her, looking at her social dysfunctions and knowing it has to do with her years at the orphanage. My sister Sue reconfirms this with an article she was reading, and others also agree. It eases my mind and gives me an out. Shaela's wiring has always been different and dark and analytical. Her sympathy for others must be developed. She has such strong defense mechanisms. If a person hurts her, even by accident, she rages against them, annihilating the perceived attacker. She uses the harshest words and meanest faces to scare the living daylights out of people. This happens more often if she has low blood sugar and is tired. We make sure to have protein at hand and much of it at ever meal. I am so sorry that she does not have much sympathy for people (she does for animals). Her best friend Tyler is no longer a best friend because he would not put up with her abuse. I am sad that all this has happened before her 5th birthday party and many of her "friends" won't be there. She was so adamant about not inviting certain people, because all year long she has been threatening people that they will not go to her party if they are mean to her (which could be disagreeing with her).

So we will see tomorrow how her party is. She got a new homeopathic remedy from Hoda, our friend and we hope it will help her immensely.
I love that beautiful girl, she is going through so much right now. On her good days (which are often) she is funny as all get up, constantly drawing the most incredible things like crystals filled with love and good energy and princesses that look like the Our Lady of Guadalupe and incredible designs with exquisite color combinations. She is eating very well, loves Grandma's ribs & kraut, beef & gravy and shrimp dumplings and mac and cheese. She is definitely a chocoholic and will get her fill tomorrow.

With loving blessings,
Debbie, Justin, Shaela, Kobi and Tara
